Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Matches

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) at the MRA is Sanctioned match program bringing a variety of shooting events at the club. The CMP matches provide an opportunity to shoot vintage and modern military rifles and to qualify for both MRA and CMP Medals.

The Office of the Director of Civilian Marksmanship (DCM) was created by the U.S Congress as part of the 1903 War Department Appropriations Act. In 1996 the DCM shifted to the CMP as a corporation charted by the U.S. Congress. The CMP is a program that promotes firearm safety training and rifle practice for all qualified US Citizens. Participation in a sanctioned CMP match will provide the participant with the opportunity to purchase Government Surplus Rifles through their sales program.
